Rainy Day Art

I have been busy drawing the last week or so and looking through some of my older doodles.  I don't have my scanner set up with my laptop yet instead I had some fun exploring taking photos of my art.  Since so many of my upcoming new art pieces will need to be photographed, I wanted to spend some time learning more about how I will do it.

I call this one "carrotzilla" ...beware bunny's !!!  BeWarE !

When I made a lot of clothes for The Sims, I'd really just play around in photoshop using a mesh that I liked without a sketch in advance. One day I decided that it would be fun to go back and draw a few of the outfits I liked the most (below it, is The Sims version that I made originally)

I'm always drawn to the Fairy and Elf themes, here I was trying to explore a few seasonal Elf's.  I wasn't able to color correct without photoshop, but its fun to see these familiar drawings again!  I used color pencil's as the medium, and they are ACEO size  2.5x3.5"  :

its always so much fun to draw, I find that its something effortless that can be played with anytime and anywhere.

Create! Create! Create!

I've got my new art space all sorted out and its irresistible to stay away from.   I have days when its harder to get to the table and let my imagination flow - an unexpected part of this journey.  I always thought when I had every obstacle removed from my path to just get a chance to do my art stuff it'd be this amazing joyous easy path.   HA !!!  The creative journey is not really all sparkles and fairy dust!  Sometimes you have to really let go of ideas of what you think your art process will be like, and just be in the moment and see what you can do.

Here are some pictures of where the magic happens in my casa de moon belly!

I figured out though, that the light needed to be on the left so had to shift a few things around and add in all my fun colored pencils::

A special little Yeti Creature in the works, while it's muse is in the background  ^_^  ::

The Adventure Begins!

It's hard to imagine that I'm finally truly moving from an idea to reality with my art!!! To say I'm excited is an understatement!!!!!   I've always been doing art since I was a child, but never with such purpose and clear intent as I'm setting forth now.

I'm so excited to start this blog and capture the story of this journey I'm on, and thrilled to dive into this experience.  Having worked with so many artist's over the year's and holding myself somewhat separate from that title, even though I've always been doing art, its so sweet to embrace my truly creative side fully.

So....the adventure begins!!
